In other recent news events, researches and chemists at Virginia Tech have announced they are working on a new energy source. They are currently working on ways to convert sugar into hydrogen. The hydrogen created by the sugar can then be used to power fuel cells. This would be a very cheap and clean source of energy. It would not produce any pollutants or odors. They are currently working on combing sugars produced by plants with water and 13 different powerful enzymes to create hydrogen and thus energy. Although this work is just in its beginning stages, it represents how many creative ways there are for potentially creating clean energy.
